Members of the public are welcome to attend the public gallery and may speak on any item listed on the agenda. To raise an item to be considered for the agenda, please write to or email the clerk directly.
Resident Issues - How to Report It!
Issues such as overgrown vegetation, weeds, fly-tipping, and missed bin or recycling collections fall under the responsibility of Flintshire County Council. It’s important that, in the first instance, residents report these problems directly to Streetscene by calling 01352 701234 or by using the online reporting system. If you choose to report online, you will receive a reference number and an email receipt, which you can keep for future reference if needed.

Upcoming Local Events
Remembrance Sunday – 8 November 2026
For anyone wishing to attend this year's Remembrance commemorations, the following arrangements have been provided by the Connah's Quay & Shotton Interservices Committee and were shared at last night's Town Council meeting.
The service is open to all service personnel, ex-service associations, cadet forces, youth organisations and members of the public.
Order of proceedings:
- 9.30am: Assemble at Connah's Quay Civic Hall.
- 9.55am: All attendees to be seated.
- 10.00am: Service commences.
- After the service: Members will parade outside the Swimming Baths / Civic Hall.
- 10.40am: Parade departs for the Connah's Quay & Shotton War Memorial.
A short service of remembrance will take place at the War Memorial, including the laying of wreaths and Poppy Crosses.
This will be followed by a march to Bridge Street Car Park, Shotton, where light refreshments will be available at Groves Social Club.
Armistice Day – Wednesday 11 November 2026
A special service will take place involving local schools, organisations and members of the public.
The service will include:
- An act of remembrance.
- The Exhortation.
- The Last Post and Reveille.
- The laying of wreaths and poppies.
- Closing prayers.
- The National Anthem.
10.50am: All those taking part are asked to assemble at the War Memorial.
11.00am: The Last Post will be sounded, marking the beginning of the two-minute silence at the eleventh hour.
These occasions provide an opportunity for our community to come together to remember and honour all those who have served, and those who continue to serve.
Everyone is welcome to attend and pay their respects.
